The book is based on a very simple law, a law that governs life in a way and that is 'The Law of Attraction'.

It's a simply thought, a simple idea that is personified so beautifully in this amazing book. The thought basically suggests that your goal and desires are governed by what you think. The main essence of the book lies in exploring the power of our minds. It brings to life the phrase 'It's all in the mind' and motivates the reader to go ahead and conquer. Ask for the Moon and Get It

Tidying my bookcase recently I found an old book with loose pages that were turning brown. Obviously a book I had kept for years although I don't remember buying it. I decided if I had kept it that long I would re-read it, it had to be worth it!

The book was by Percy Ross a philanthropist and millionaire, who began life in an extremely poor family. In fact at 6 years old he had to help the family finances by selling eggs to his neighbours. At this young age he built up his own egg round. His dad told him to occasionally give away an extra egg. This unusual gift kept his customers engaged and he used it as a lesson in future years.

As a child he was desperate for a bicycle, which his parents couldn't afford and he envied all signs of luxury he saw and decided one day he would be a millionaire and help others.

It is a fascinating book in which you discover how he went from rags to riches through sheer hard work and some engaging tactics. He then put his secrets, his 10 rules for asking, that had achieved so much for him into this book so that you can achieve what you want too.

Fascinated by his stories I Googled Percy Ross to find he died in 2001 at the age of 84 but two years before he had closed his newspaper columns where people could write in for what they wanted, he closed them with a note saying, his purse was empty now but how he had enjoyed helping everyone. He gave away 30 million in his lifetime. In the book which he wrote in his seventies he vowed before he died he would give away every penny.

He must have been a wonderful man to have known. This is a book well worth reading if you can get hold of a copy.

His advice could help you to achieve a business loan, as it did for him against the odds, or help you in any situation. So if you want to improve your life this is a book that could help you.

At the end of the book he explains how to decide exactly what you want how to be specific in your requests, and decide exactly what you want in all areas of your life, how to prioritize and how exactly to ask to achieve your dreams. His thoughts were if you ask in the right way you can achieve almost anything.

What Is the Definition of a Lifestyle Entrepreneur?

A lifestyle entrepreneur is someone who is tired of living the template lifestyle that most people have accepted and has decided to create a lifestyle by design. This person has a passion to do something and wants to make a living at it even if that means they are not going to make a fortune doing it. You can live the lifestyle of a millionaire without actually being a millionaire. To accomplish this you will have to make a paradigm shift in how you think about money, career, lifestyle, and what is really important to you in life.

Deciding to pursue your passion in life and make money from doing it gives a person the freedom and feeling of being alive that rarely comes from working a job just to earn money to pay for things that you hardly ever use anyway. Take some time to reflect on what is really important in your life, this will give you the motivation to start your new journey toward a new beginning. A lifestyle entrepreneur might want to travel the world or just be able to spend more time with their family instead of spending 8 - 12 hours a day at work and a couple of hours in traffic everyday.

Anyone can become a lifestyle entrepreneur all they have to do is have a passion for something that they are willing to put some work into to develop and share with others. You can still keep your job while working on your ideas and make the transition to full-time "whatever" when the time is right.

To get started on your passion do some research on what you love by coming up with keywords and start "Googling". Read as many blogs and articles about your subject as you can then figure out where you can fit yourself in to offer value to people. There is plenty of information on the web about how to set up a blog and market your product or service.

The definition of a lifestyle entrepreneur is whatever you create it to be as long as you are following your passion and living life on your own terms to the degree that you feel comfortable with. Just take the first step towards your dreams, the path will open as you go along. I will be offering tips and strategies on setting up a lifestyle business on my blog in the near future

Free Electricity Forever - How to Get Free Solar Power From Photovoltaic Cell Panels (Book Review)

Earlier this year, I had the good fortune of taking a tour of Germany.

What, you ask, does Germany have to do with a review of a book on getting electricity from solar panels?

Pretty much everything. You see, Germany is the world leader in production of photovoltaic solar energy. They produce more of it than the rest of Europe combined, so clearly they are well ahead of their time. I saw entire towns being powered by solar voltaic cells.

So when I got back to the United States, I had a real interest in learning more. I know that the electricity itself is free, but I wondered if it was cost effective here to install the solar systems that would deliver the electricity.

It seems there are two types of books available on the subject. One goes extremely deep into the technical aspects of solar power, has many pages, and costs anywhere from $30 on up.

The other "type" is a little, basic "solar how to" book such as this. AJ O'Brien cautions readers up front that this book is small - and it is. O'Brien suggests to readers that it is for those who are just beginning their "solar journey" (as I was).

The book has only a few chapters. The chapter names follow something of a "who, what, when, where, why, and how" format. Here are a few of the chapter names:

Why Solar?
How Does a Solar Cell System Work?
How Do I Choose the Right System For Me?
What Do I Need to Know Before I Buy?
He finishes off the book with a section entitled, "Five Things You Must Know About Solar Power."

The book is rich on basics, light on details, both as the author promised. One of the interesting things he covered is that solar generated electricity is likely the future in the United States and other countries, whether we like it or not. The reason is that we are running out of other options. In Florida where I live (and where the author apparently lives, too), we use coal and nuclear to produce electricity. Coal burns dirty, and it takes a lot of effort and energy to clean the effluent. Nuclear, of course, has its own issues, as the Japanese have learned. Solar panels, on the other hand, produce clean and unlimited electricity, and have no "side effects." We're just not ready for it yet because of the cost. But we're getting there.

O'Brien covers all of the basics for a starter book. He has a Resources section for those, like me, who wish to learn more.

This book is probably worth reading as a starting point. I would like to see just a bit more detail. However, it's a pretty decent starter book for your "solar journey" or just to learn the basics of this subject quickly. I recommend it for those purposes; after reading this book you can decide if you want to go into more depth.

New Book Encourages Readers to Live the Dream Life

Tammy Rimes' new book Drink Fine Wine... Ride Fine Horses is no "head in the clouds" self-help book. Tammy manages to be both inspiring and realistic as she encourages people to live the life of their dreams, using her own life and other people's encouraging stories as examples for how to make your dreams come true.

Tammy and her husband had a dream. She wanted to work with horses. He wanted to operate a winery. After years of working, saving, buying a ranch, and operating a small winery and wine-tasting room, they have made their dreams come true. And it wasn't easy. It took a lot of hard work-in fact, I love that Tammy dismisses the idea that if you do what you love, you'll never work another day in your life. You might get to work at what you love, but you will still do hard work. Part of that hard work was Rimes holding down a city job while her husband operated the winery, and then she would come home to work evenings. Part of it was networking in the community, including spending time at day-long outdoor events, covered in smoke and sweat but smiling at everyone who wanted to taste their wine. And part of it was holding on to the vision of that dream even when it looked impossible.

How do you make your own dreams come true? A great way to start is to read Drink Fine Wine... Ride Fine Horses and find out how Tammy and many others did it. She walks readers through the process, from believing in the dream to networking, dealing with adversity, and inspiring others to get excited about your dream. One example she gave that really resonated for me was that long before they had a ranch, she and her husband had decided to name it "Hacienda de las Rosas" or "Big House of the Roses" and she told everyone about the ranch before it was a reality. When people asked her where it was located, she would say, pointing to her head, "Right here... but one day it will be a real place."

Tammy dismisses any thoughts that people can't make their dreams come true. The biggest part of the process is often just believing it is possible. Tammy knows people might say, "Well, that's all well and good to have a Dream Life, but I have to pay the bills and need to take care of my kids." Tammy understands that, saying, "I get that... boy, do I get that. My husband and I have built our winery and horse ranch, but I still had to work another 'day' job to help pay for that dream. My Dream Life of Freedom was and is a work in progress. I had to work my other job for years to help support the achievement of our Dream Life. But having to work now doesn't prevent you from dreaming. Sometimes we have to do the job we have now for the dream of tomorrow."

Tammy doesn't forget that amid all the hard work she has done to make her Dream Life a reality, she has also needed to have fun. This book reflects her rich sense of humor, which I really appreciated. She knows how to inspire coworkers and employees, and she tells funny stories of how she's used humor in the workplace. Best of all, in my opinion, she's a big Lucille Ball fan, to the point that every year her husband and she have an event at the winery where she dresses up like Lucy in the famous I Love Lucy grape-stomping episode and then reenacts it for the crowd.

The book also has moving moments, including a wonderful tale of forgiveness about a coworker whose son was involved in a murder. Tammy realizes that sometimes we have emotional baggage that gets in our way and prevents our dreams. This tale of forgiveness and other examples she includes will truly help you to believe anything is possible from healing the past to creating the future when you commit yourself to pursuing your dream life.

From figuring out your passion and envisioning your dream life to making detours from Plan A to Plan B and even to C or D when necessary, and from learning how to be the leader in your own life to exercises that trigger your thoughts to create the life you want, you'll feel like the good life is not only possible but just waiting for you after you read this book.
